Batuque do Barco (BDB Samba) is a new community group based in Wiltshire which teaches the traditional sounds of Samba, Hip-Hop & more Carnival rhythms.

Our teaching ethos is to be fun, accessible and inclusive to people of all abilities and experiences, whilst also educating about the traditional rhythms of Brazil. By diving deep into Brazilian culture, our teachers have studied with many of Brazil’s leading percussionists and groups, learning all about Samba, its traditional instruments & rhythms and its role within our communities.

 

We will be offering a community based group which aims to bring people together through playing samba. We will be learning about rhythms direct from Rio de Janeiro with a hot twist of rhythms from around the world. Rio Samba, Hip-Hop and Marchá are just some of the rhythms will be offering at our classes
